It lives!
It’s been a few semesters, but the official Marc Nino Cellucci website is back and better than ever. This is your hub for all things Cellucci, and I trust that you are rushing to bookmark it and add it to your home screen.
So why am I re-launching a personal website here in the mid-’20s, when it seems like such a late ’90s thing to do? Well, since way back in the Mosaic days I’ve always had one, and even though updates were infrequent (at best), it always felt right to have one.
Then SNS sites like Friendster, Myspace, and Facebook came to the fore, and seemed like a better alternative to maintaining a personal site, so I shut mine down. Little did I know that those sites would either die off or become ad-riddled, algorithm-drenched cesspools. Facebook, TwiXter, et al. have basically become useless, so I decided to create my own junk-free enclave on the web.
This site will act as both a way for me to promote what I’m doing professionally and a public journal about what I’ve got cooking in my life. It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything but e-mails and PowerPoint decks, so I need to get my chops back up, but I plan on putting out (hopefully) interesting content on a regular basis.
Why the name “Cellucci World,” then? I was looking at the various top-level domain names they have these days, and while “.best,” “.rocks,” and even “.xxx” caught my eye, “.world” won out in the end. I’m hoping that the content can be something of a legacy I can leave to my two sons, and maybe they will keep the Cellucci World torch lit when the time comes… if the concept of websites even exist in the future.
I hope you enjoy the site, and come back again from time to time. Thanks!
